Focussing In: the title of a 2007 exhibition at the Curwen Gallery of work produced after visiting Kew Gardens throughout a year. Over 200 gouaches and also acrylics on canvas

'Focussing In, A Year In Kew Gardens,' comprises nearly two hundred small gouaches, each made in response to many visits to Kew Gardens over the space of a year. (Oct 2005 - Oct 2006).
The work stands as a visual diary of a year at Kew Gardens, and a record of the effects of seasonal changes on this environment.
Some of the images are purely figurative, others more abstract, but all are unified by their close perspective and detailed observation.

It was mounted onto 12 framed panels in 2009, each with 16 images, measuring 125 x 113 cm (44 1/2" x 49 1/4") and  is now part of a private Dutch Collection.

A selection of 10 giclee prints of paintings from the series are available from the Curwen Gallery, here.
